NaNoWriMo 2020 is now over halfway completed, so let’s have a look at my progress so far!
TOTAL WORD COUNT*: 30,017
I’m sure a lot of you will be able to spot straight way that there haven’t been days where I’ve written. I did take a little bit of time off over the weekend since I was feeling a bit overwhemled with the challenge. But I hopped back as best I could and I’m now back up to par!
As we are currently approaching November 24th very rapidly, I’m going to be setting myself quite a mammoth challenge – I’m aiming to have the entirety of NaNoWriMo completed this weekend. If I time things right and get a good plan of action into place, I want to complete NaNoWriMo either on the 21st or the 22nd November, giving myself a brand new personal best. If I don’t complete it this weekend, it’s not the end of the world – but it would be really amazing if I got a brand new time!

In my word count per day, it’s easy to see where I’ve taken some days out. But I’m not beating myself up too much about the days I didn’t write – it was unavoidable and I feel a bit better having some time off inbetween.
As for the story at the moment, I’m getting to the really exciting parts of the romance which is making it incredibly fun to write. I however haven’t completely planned out how the rest of the story will go from where I am right now, but I know how it ends so I’ll be working from there! Once we get to the weekend, I’ll be taking some time to map out the next couple of key scenes before the end and fingers crossed I’ll have a completed novel by this weekend.
