The first short story I ever published in 2015 has now been updated and is available to buy on my site.
Although The Ascension of Melanie Winters is my debut novel, it’s actually not the first story I ever published. That title goes to Amity & Cake, a short story I published under my previous pseudonym on the 11th June 2015.
It was a short story that I edited and formatted myself and had some nice reviews from those who read it. I took it off a few months after publishing but after discovering the original files on my laptop, I decided I wanted to preserve it and I’ve chosen to make it available for purchase in my store.
Here’s the synopsis of the story…
Amity and Cake tells the story of Annie and Tom. Once they were best friends, inseparable throughout seventeen years of their lives. Then, they became strangers, when the acts of one drove them apart. Now, four years after those events, they will meet once again to try and come to a reconciliation. But is it really obtainable? Or will the scars of the past be too much for either to bear?
