Meet the author behind The Ascension Series.

My Story

I have been fascinated with creating worlds and writing them down ever since I was very little. One of my most treasured childhood hobbies was reading, and the books that I would read inspired me to create my own. Despite going back and forth between different career choices (actress and film maker were two of them), everything always came back to being an author. Originally, I was planning to study Creative Writing at University, but certain decisions meant I wound up studying film instead. After I completed my two year course, I went into full time work and began to work on my stories full time. And in 2018, I made the leap to self-publish my first novel…and the rest is history.

My biggest writing inspirations are Terry Pratchett, Phillip Pullman, Eoin Colfer and Kazuo Ishiguro.

Right now, I work in the Marketing industry full-time alongside publishing my work and live with my fiancé and two dogs. When I’m not writing stories, I can often be found cosplaying my favourite characters, sewing, reading books, wearing wigs, looking after my two chaotic dogs and planning my 2027 wedding.
 
You may notice the “Written by a human, not by AI” logo on the footer of my website. All of my published work has been written, edited and completely created by myself, alongside professional editors to refine and make my work publish-ready. None of my work will ever be written, edited or even touched with Generative AI; it is a tool that I am strongly against using in any creative field. Using LLM’s to create art goes against the entire purpose of creating art to begin with and anybody who chooses to use it openly are people I will not associate myself with.
