I am excited to announce that I am planning an event for authors in Bridgend – and I need fellow authors to join me!
As a self-published author based in Bridgend, I’m incredibly excited to announce a new event that I’m planning, “Meet The Author @ Unit 14,” and I’m personally inviting every local writer to join me! My aim with this event is to help celebrate our talent and hopefully build a vibrant literary community within Bridgend County Borough. I’ve always been very hesitant about showcasing my work in my community because of my anxieties, but this year, I really want to push all of that aside, especially with this brilliant opportunity.
This proposed evening will take place in Maesteg Market, as part of the new pop-up space organised by Bridgend County Borough Council, “For A Limited Time Only…?”. The evening will involve a dedicated pace for Bridgend authors to showcase our work, connect with readers, and network with fellow writers. Right now, I envision being able to have the chance to read extracts from our books to an engaged audience, be able to discuss our creative process, and just simply chat with other literary minds in the area. It’s an event that I’ve been wanting to hold for a long time and I’m so excited that the stars have aligned for this event to begin preperations.
This event is currently planned for late August, though the exact date might shift a little depending on different factors. To be part of this, you just need to be an author based in Bridgend County Borough; I’m welcoming both traditionally published and self-published authors across all genres.
