So this week, it was announced that Nanowrimo will be shutting down.It's not surprising news, given they took a horrific stance on AI in writing and the numerous accounts of moderation being slow to remove groomers from their platform. It still hurts though, given the history that I (and several other authors) have with the challenge.My debut novel wouldn't exist without NaNoWriMo; the very first draft was a failed NaNo project from 2015.Although the platform won't be around anymore, this doesn't mean that these monthly challenges aren't going away.
